Citizens Hose Company No. 5 offers a live-in program for college students and/or employed individuals looking to live at the fire house rent free in exchange for staffing the station and responding to emergencies. We value our live-ins as they ensure a swift response overnight when career staff are not on duty. We are always looking to add to our team and would love to hear from you!
Are at least 18 years of age
Are members in good standing
Meet any specified training, certification, or availability requirements
Full Time Student or Full Time Employment
Staff four days a week (for at least a 5 hour shift each day) and one weekend a month
Respond to all emergencies while on station unless leaving for class or employment
Maintain good personal hygeine
Keep assigned space tidy and clean
Light janitorial duties
Bag ice three days a week
